Guest: Firoozeh Farvardin Host: Filip Balunovic The guest in the 29th episode of "Zvuk Misli" is Firoozeh Farvardin, a feminist, activist, postdoctoral researcher at the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, member of the International Research Group on Authoritarianism, and visiting lecturer at Humboldt University in Berlin. The theme of this episode is Iran in light of the feminist mobilizations of 2022, which spread throughout the country after a Kurdish activist was detained by the religious police for not wearing a hijab and ultimately died as a result of that detention. Inevitably, the starting point of the conversation was the legacy of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Additionally, other issues were discussed, such as the corrupt pro-Western regime of the Shah before the revolution, minority rights, neoliberal economic reforms, Iranian cultural production, and the vision of Iran in the foreseeable future.
