Miami University Luxembourg Foundation proudly present "EVERY VOTE COUNTS!" a talk on the 2024 US election featuring guest speaker Dr. Carolyn Jefferson-Jenkins, Ph.D.. Carlo Krieger, a board member of the foundation came by the ARA City Radio studios to talk more about what can be expected at the event and how US politics differ from what we expect in Europe. How women and minorities vote are especially important in Swing States where the candidates try to increase their small margins. Parents in Sweden can now transfer paid parental leave days to people who are not a legal guardian, including grandparents and friends. The law allows parents to transfer up to 45 days of their paid leave to someone who isn't the child's legal guardian. For single parents, up to 90 days can be transferred.
