Yasmin Labidi of Transition Minett asbl joined the Breakfast Show to talk about their organisation and the third edition of the Festival of Citizens in Transition. Transition Minett asbl started in 2011, bringing citizens together who wanted to start a community garden, now called "Breedewee". The city of Esch-sur-Alzette could support them in creating a citizen-led space to meet, talk and implement ecological solutions together. This year, 15 partners team up with Transition Minett asbl to organize the Festival of Citizens in Transition on Saturday June 29th (with a bat observation event in the evening on June 28th at the Garden Bredewee), with 16 different events scattered around Esch and with a treasure hunt!

The radio itself started a few years earlier, and then they decided to add English to the equation. It was a rebel with a cause, thumbing its nose at British legislation that said, "Oi, BBC, you've got a monopoly on this radio business, and no advertising shenanigans allowed!" But fear not, for Radio Luxembourg was here to provide a loophole, a secret passage through the airwaves. Find out more at www.bourgmeisterin.com!
